Coronavirus Outbreak: Important Public Notices

Sunday 15th March: Advice for Travellers

  • People coming into New Zealand should check on MoH website for travelers arriving in New Zealand as all travelers except those listed on the countries and areas of concern under Category 2, will be required to self-isolate. If you arrive in New Zealand before 23:59 pm on Sunday 15 March from any country (except Italy or South Korea) you do not need to self-isolate. If you arrive after 1:00 am on Monday 16 March from any country except those listed on the countries and areas of concern under Category 2 you will need to self-isolate for 14 days.

The Ministry of Health (MoH) has updated the following support services:

  • A dedicated 0800 number has been set up for questions and concerns about coronavirus. The new number is 0800 358 5453  (or +64 9 358 5453 for overseas SIMs). The number is free to call, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and will be staffed by members of the National Telehealth Service with interpreters on hand to help with translation.
  • MoH now has a dedicated Facebook page @minhealthnz, as well as a Twitter channel @minhealthnz. These will be used to alert people to key updates and messaging specifically about coronavirus.
